How to Solve Decimals - Multiplication

Ignore the decimal point at first and multiply as if both numbers were whole numbers. Then count the total number of decimal places in the original problem and place the decimal point that many places from the right in your answer. For example, 3.5 x 4: multiply 35 x 4 = 140, then place the decimal one spot from the right to get 14.0.
