How to Solve Decimals - Multiplication

Multiply the numbers as if they were whole numbers, ignoring the decimal points. Then count the total decimal places in both factors combined — with tenths by tenths, that is two decimal places. Place the decimal point two places from the right in your product. For example, 2.3 x 1.5: multiply 23 x 15 = 345, then place the decimal to get 3.45.
