How to Solve Rounding
Focus on the tens digit to decide whether to round up or down to the nearest hundred. If the tens digit is 0 through 4, round down. If the tens digit is 5 through 9, round up to the next hundred. For example, 238 rounds down to 200, while 271 rounds up to 300. Keep the hundreds digit and replace the tens and ones with zeros.
