By the time students do mixed facts, the 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s usually come quickly. Most of the rest can be built from those. 6 × 7 is 5 × 7 plus one more 7. 9 × 8 is 10 × 8 minus one 8.
Turnarounds cut the list in half, since 3 × 8 and 8 × 3 are the same fact. When you check a finished sheet, sort the misses by table. A student who missed three 7s facts needs time on the 7s, not another mixed sheet.
