Fraction, Decimal & Percent Conversions
This free printable worksheet challenges 6th graders to move fluently around the full fraction-decimal-percent triangle: fractions to decimals and percents, and decimals and percents back to fractions in lowest terms. Denominators run up to 100, including less-friendly ones like 20, 25, and 50.
How to Solve Fractions - Concepts
Route every conversion through hundredths. A fraction becomes a percent by scaling the denominator to 100 (7/20 is 35/100, so 35%), and a percent becomes a fraction by writing it over 100 and simplifying (36% is 36/100, which reduces to 9/25). Between percent and decimal, just move the point two places.
