These free printable one-step equation worksheets are ideal for 7th graders building pre-algebra fluency. All four operations appear, and every equation is constructed from a whole-number solution.

How to Solve Pre-Algebra

Identify what is being done to x, then do the opposite to both sides of the equation. Addition undoes subtraction, and division undoes multiplication: for 6x = 42, divide both sides by 6 to find x = 7. Substitute your answer back in to confirm both sides match.
