Exponents Challenge: Mixed Bases and Powers

The Exponents Challenge: Mixed Bases and Powers worksheet is designed for advanced 6th and 7th graders ready for complex exponential calculations with varied bases and higher powers.

How to Solve Exponents

Carefully multiply the base by itself the number of times indicated by the exponent. For larger calculations, work in stages and write down intermediate results. Pay special attention to problems where the base is 0 or 1 — any power of 1 is always 1, and any positive power of 0 is always 0.
