Adding Fractions (Common Denominators)

This Adding & Subtracting Negative Integers worksheet introduces 6th and 7th-grade students to operations below zero on the number line.

How to Solve Fractions - Addition

Use a mental number line! When you add a positive number, move right. When you add a negative number (or subtract a positive number), move left. Subtracting a negative number is the same as adding a positive number (the two negatives cancel out to make a plus).
