Adding Decimals (Mixed Places)
Geared towards 5th graders, the Adding Decimals (Mixed Places) exercise challenges students to add decimals of varying lengths by utilizing zero placeholders.
How to Solve Decimals - Addition
Line up the decimal points! Because the numbers have different amounts of digits after the decimal, you should write zeros at the end of the shorter decimals so everything lines up neatly on the right side. Then add normally from right to left, bringing the decimal straight down.
