Triple Digit Subtraction (Vertical)
Geared towards 3rd graders, the Triple Digit Subtraction (Vertical) worksheet challenges students to apply borrowing mechanics across multiple place values.
How to Solve Subtraction
Work from right to left. When the top digit is smaller than the bottom digit in any column, borrow from the column to the left. With three-digit numbers, you may need to borrow across two columns — for example, borrowing from the hundreds to the tens, then from the tens to the ones.
