Least Common Multiple (LCM)

These free printable LCM worksheets are ideal for 5th and 6th graders learning to find the least common multiple of two numbers - the skill behind finding common denominators when adding fractions.

How to Solve Factors & Multiples

Count up by the larger number and stop at the first multiple the smaller number also divides evenly. For the LCM of 6 and 8: count 8, 16, 24 - and 24 is divisible by 6, so the LCM is 24. Watch out: the LCM is not always the two numbers multiplied together (6 x 8 = 48 is a common multiple, but not the least).
