Dividing Simple Fractions

Our Dividing Simple Fractions worksheet teaches 5th and 6th graders the 'Keep, Change, Flip' method — the essential technique for dividing fractions.

How to Solve Fractions - Division

To divide fractions, use 'Keep, Change, Flip': keep the first fraction, change the division sign to multiplication, and flip the second fraction (swap its numerator and denominator). Then multiply normally. For example, 3/4 / 2/5 becomes 3/4 x 5/2 = 15/8, which converts to 1 7/8.
