Dividing Negative Integers
Our Dividing Negative Integers printable reinforces the sign rules for division, which follow the same pattern as multiplication, for 6th and 7th graders.
How to Solve Integers (Negatives)
Division follows the same sign rules as multiplication: positive divided by positive is positive, negative divided by negative is positive, and mixed signs give a negative result. Divide the absolute values to get the magnitude, then determine the sign. If both numbers have the same sign, the answer is positive; if different, it is negative.
