Dividing Decimals by Decimals (Tenths)
The Dividing Decimals by Decimals (Tenths) worksheet introduces the critical concept of shifting the decimal point to create a whole number divisor.
How to Solve Decimals - Division
You cannot divide by a decimal! Move the decimal point in the outside number (the divisor) to the right until it is a whole number. You must then move the decimal point in the inside number (the dividend) the exact same number of spaces to the right. Bring the new decimal point straight up, and divide normally.
