Dividing Decimals by Decimals (Tenths)

The Dividing Decimals by Decimals (Tenths) worksheet teaches 5th and 6th graders the critical technique of making the divisor a whole number before dividing.

How to Solve Decimals - Division

When the divisor is a decimal, multiply both the divisor and the dividend by 10 (or 100, etc.) to make the divisor a whole number. For example, 4.5 / 0.9 becomes 45 / 9 = 5. This does not change the answer because you are multiplying both parts by the same number. Then divide normally.
