6 Times Table

This free printable 6 times table worksheet is ideal for 3rd and 4th graders starting the trickier upper tables. It gives 6 × 7 = 42 and 6 × 8 = 48 — two of the most-missed facts in all the tables — the repetition they need.

How to Solve Multiplication

Go through the 5s: 6 × n is 5 × n plus one more n, so 6 × 7 is 35 + 7 = 42. When multiplying 6 by an even number, the answer ends in that same digit (6 × 8 = 48). The 6s are also exactly double the 3s.
